I t's October and you can explore a host of new horror offerings now -- no need to wait until Halloween. Peacock, Prime Video, Netflix and other streaming services are putting frights front and center by providing fresh TV and film originals that will get your skin crawling and heart racing.
With recent releases holding some of the top spots on the box office charts, there is some intense competition for new horror movies. It wasn’t just blockbusters that were released this year though — some of the films were pretty grim.
As someone who read the books religiously as a child and watched the series on Fox Kids as well, I was happy to see R.L. Stine's Pumpkinhead is more in line with the franchise I remember, rather than the more modern series sharing the name.
Indy is the real-life dog of director Ben Leonberg, who filmed the movie, which opens in theaters Friday, over the course of three years in a woodsy New Jersey home. “I did not think he was gonna be the movie star he turned out to be,” Leonberg tells NJ Advance Media.
“A House of Dynamite” is currently the top movie on Netflix.
